Many times, customers are not going to go out of their way to leave a review unless the service was spectacular or, on the other hand, horrible. When was the last time you left a review for a different company? Was it extra work to find the review page and then leave a review? Why not simplify the process by sharing a card with a short URL or QR code? Or maybe have a postcard on the table where individuals can scan and provide their feedback.
Why not print out recent online reviews and post them on a counter? This not only lets others know that feedback is taken seriously but also shows appreciation of the feedback received.
Reviews usually play an important role in a company's success. By having great reviews, it lets others know that individuals can trust the service or products being offered. For example, would you rather receive service from a dental office that has 100 reviews with 3 stars or 4.5 stars? Most would go with the higher rating dental office. However, the number of reviews also play a huge role along with the service offered. Many customers look at the star rating, the number of reviews, and the recency of them. That is why it is important for team to know the importance of reviews as it builds credibility & social proof. However, you should not solicit or ask for reviews from your customers.
It is not only important to have reviews coming in. It is also important to consistently monitor them. Look for ways to address any criticism so that you can avoid the same issue in the future. It may be impossible to please every customer however the purpose is to provide a great experience for many and addressing any negative feedback so that multiple customers don't go through the same experience.
Reviews are left for a number of reasons. We've read through thousands of reviews and it seems like they fall into 3 main categories. Reviewing service/product, customer service, and location. Customer service plays a key part in reviews and it leaves a memorable impression on customers.
